I am a tech person.trying to learn functional side..right now while maintaining Item data i m getting message that BOM parameter is not maintained.
When i tried to maintain BOM parameter that time i m getting error "Conversion factor for BOM unit is not found"

I mantained units in maintain units also

please revert my frnds

When are you getting this error message? While you are entering a unit in the Maintain BOM Parameters session or while opening this session?

If its the former (while entering a unit) then is this unit one of your Base Units?

Have you tried with a unit of type Length?

If KG is not the base unit for weight then you will first need to define the conversion factor for it in the conversion factor session.

you should use the unit of base unit type is Length.

Hello - I get this error when trying to set the BOM Unit of Measure in the BOM Parameters session as well. I'm using a length type unit and the unit exists in Units and Conversion factors

UPDATE: -- I just found a posting about the session tcmcs0100m000 Maintain Base Units - this session has not been setup. I'll give it a try.

THere needs to be a conversion factor defined between the base unit and the BOM unit (if these two are different). The base units are defined in Distribution parameters

First you define unit in tcmcs0101m000 with physical qty in"length" like "meter" then define the same unit in tiitm0120m000 and give the conversion factor in centimeter and link the same in tibom0100m000.
