While using serialized item in project, following error is observed.

"Derived-from item can not have a serial mask. Mask of parent item will be used."

wat is meaning of this error.

go to tcibd4505m000 and maintain the mask for parent Item. If mask is not defined then go to tcibd4102m000 and maintain mask

The above error mesg is coming during maintaining the mask (Mask by item / item group) for customized item code.
