Using Baan IVc. Setup MPS items, generated master plan, entered demand and generated orders. No MPS production order created for MPS item. Message received...Actual Inventory exceeds planned inventory by 1000% and Actual demand exceeds planned demand by 1000%. 6 bucketed (weekly) sales order demand of 25, on-hand quantity 2, on order (existing production order) 25. Messages do not make sense..inventory does not exceed demand and actual inventory does not exceed planned inventory. Any ideas?

Check up the time fence and time fence multiplier. The message that you got is exception message and that is fine.

It was the time fence. I extended the time fence and orders were generated. Not sure how the time fence multiplier works...similar to the order horizon in Baan V? It's been so long since I worked with Baan IV and it took awhile to refresh my memory compared to Baan V.

MPS horizon is time fence X time fence multiplier. In Baan V I guess you have 2 time fences unlike one in Baan IV.
