in my company, we are working by order.

So each time a customer place order, we produce.

I have a probleme with packaging material.

When the customer service place order, we dont have the packaging material reference available yet.

That's means we have to add this packaging material after.

Do you know how could we manage that ?

Have you set up all the Packaging definitions etc in the warehousing module?

with this function can we specify pakaging template, then when the marketing get a reference number for the packaging, we can update the bom with the right packaging reference number ?

Actually, we have standard packaging, but each customer ask his own logo (OEM).

So when a customer place order, we need to create a reference for the packaging material, that's why we cannot input it into the BOM directly at the sales order !

Not sure about Ln, but in 5c, there is session whwmd4107m000 Packaging Items by Business Partner. Never used it but sounds like it might b what your after
