Hi Jim,

There is no option to prevent order release if on hand inventory is insufficient. You can use the but you can use the report tisfc0418m000 (Print Shortages by Production order) to find out if there are any shortage.

Production order shortage report is not a true indicator of shortages esp, if a component used in many parents. In Baan IV we have customized this functionality.

Thank you too very mush for the replies. However from a progamer point of view, it is easy to realize the funcution of Release prodution order based on on-hand inventory. I just wonder why baan removes such option.
