We have created opening stock of raw material without project.
We create saales order with projects for manufacturing
We create PRP for sales order projects
The problem is that system doesnot generate prp for tjose BOM items for which stocks are available in opening
If we remove the stock from the opening i.e without project (standard item) then prp is generated for all BOM items of finished sales order item.

Anybody having any clue.

Under the Project did you create Project Parts using the Standard Item or did you add Project Number to the Item.

I take it that these BOM items are manufactured components of the finished item. If so could you tell me whats the order policy of these items? Are they to be customized along with the finished items or are they supposed to be standard?

Did you Create the BOM for the Project Item that you are selling with all of the components in it. That BOM must exist for Planning to work correctly.
