We have distribution (and ap/gl) running but not mfg - we would like to use the product configurator to create product variants for generic items and send those to another mfg system - the problem is that the configurator creates a project which is not posting to the gl. Can we get sales revenue to post on a project without the production orders processing through Baan? is there an easier way to configure items without generating a project?

I do not understand why the project will not be updated in the GL. This should take place when using the configurator.
Each time when a product is configured a project will be created. This is mandatory and so it is not possible not to have a project.
