Hello everyone,

When we have past due MRP Sales Forecast for an Item will MRP still plan for it? If yes, how far back in time MRP will go?

Thanks in advance.

Carlos,
When MRP is run there is a field which tells from which date the system should pick up the MRP forecast/

Arvind,

Yes, you are right. For a moment I thought that, that field was an "Up to date" field, like time fence for Sales Forecast.

Thanks again.

Carlos,

Where is the Sales Forecast Time Fence located at?

There is no field- "MRP sales forecast time fence". When one runs MRP, there is a date field that indicates from which date the system should consider MRP forecast. Its in "Generatr MRP" session.

Right now MRP Sales forecast and Sales Order demand are both being added to make my demand. Is there a way for MRP to take the highest number of the two?

MRP forecast is not meant for that(even as per APICS it is like this). It is treated as independent demand. If you need forecast consumption then MPS is the only planning engine that does that.

Thanks Arvind. It is clear now.
