We are upgrading IVc to LN and looking at the new functionalities in PCS. I'm trying to find out how/weather I can enter a budget for non material requirements in LN PCS. :confused:

I'm assuming that for material requirements I just enter them as Project parts like in IVc.

First of all a budget like in Baan IV doesn't exist anymore. Budgets are threated in ERP LN6.1 as projects but they have the field Project type (enum) on budget.

Further on use then this project of type budget as a normal project. You can define project parts as before.

Thanks for the info. I found the budgets in PCS. It's not working as I expected.

I can't find a way to enter a cost item with a cost value in the budget. Any ideas on how to do this.

In the Project Parts section, you have the possibility to add "Cost Items".

I have been doing some considerable research and it appears that the only way to enter a non material amount for estimating/budgeting purposes is to enter an estimated project surcharge for the PCS at a cost component level.

I'm closing this thread as a result.
