Don't you mean how to convert Ebom into Pbom? That's the way EDM is "normally" used, but perhaps you have other objectives?

You can use session tiedm0205m000 Copy PBOM to EBOM. If the Manufactured Item isn't Engineering Controlled you should change it to Engineering Control before you can copy it back to the PBOM using the EDM Module.

Tom -
Where is that session located in IVc4? I can't find it anywhere and trying to Run Program onit just brings up an error that it can't run that program.

I didn't think there was a way to copy anything from ITM or BOM to EDM?

Jim,

This is a Baan LN Session. Don't think Baan IV has this.

Hi,

You can copy in using two ways. If the revision is not accociated with a change order, use the session tiedm1220m000 ( maintain EBOM Copy Data) and use the special opiton to copy the engineering structure to the production.

If it is thorogh a ECO, Create a change order., Maintain ECO Lines, Include / Exclude E-Items by ECO, Generate Eitems by ECO, Then the appoval proc ess, Generate EBOM Copy Data by ECO and finally process ECOs ( Process ECO will inturn call the finalize engineering data)

The above is applicable for Baan IV and from Ln onwards, MBC is used.

Thanks
