We have a complex 'to order' FAS products with lot of assembly parts and want to use Line Assembly Control module & Unit Effectivity.
The problem is: the specific BOM line, used for an specific effectivity unit, is valid a lot an exceptions.
A lot of customer requirements (about 100) makes impossible to use Unit Effectivity as is.
Is there any customer that has made customizations for this in LN 6.1?
I hope i've been clear enough
Thanks in advance,
Victor

Basically unit effectivity is used for Light Product Configuration. It is not suitable for complex product configuration. I will suggest you to use PCF.

We have to use Assembly Control module. LAC work with generic FAS Item.
PCF module do not work with generic FAS Item.
Session tipcf2101m000 (Generic Item – Constraint IDs) don’t allow to link generic FAS item and constraints, message “Change the value of the Generic Item field. Reason: Generic Item with order system FAS not allowed.”
Is it possible to use LAC & PCF modules?

Victor, whatever u r telling is right. we can only use generic FAS item with LAC & not by PCF.

Instead of using Session tipcf2101m000, use the sesion Line station Variant tiasc2520m000.

I think, It will work.

Today in Infor there is being worked on using PCF with FAS items.
Not sure yet, if this will become available in FP4 or FP5.
