Hi everyone,

I created a new E-Item using maintain engineering items, then I went to Maintain Engineering Item Revisions (tiedm1101m000) and added a revision with Effective Date “29-12-2006” and saved. So far so good…When I click on the “Release” button the Effective date changes to the Baan (current) date! Can I some how change that? I don't want the effective date that I have entered to change.

I am copying data from another system and inserting it into Baan.

You will have to import your data, including the effective dates, through a script directly into the tables. Standard session functionality won't allow an effective date to be set in the past, otherwise you're creating data for a time when it didn't actually exist and relationships to other data don't make sense.
