Hi all,
I am facing an error message when do simulate order.
The message sound "start date may not be after finish date". It is happened on item with negative projected inventory fall on the period after time fence. The calendar had set until year 2007.
The problems is very critical right now.
Hope can get some advice.

Check if the from and to dates on the Simulate Order session are the same that are there on the Scenario session (start and finish dates). You can also try removing your user defaults for this session.

Hi rkathait,
Thanks for your response. I choose to use scenario date in simulate order session always. The date in scenario session(cprpd4500m000) is from 28 Jan 2006 unitl 16 Jun 2007.
I noticed that if I set start date as 04 Feb 2006 or later. The simulate order session ran sucessfully. But if I set to 28 Jan or earlier then error message prompt. This error do not apply to all items, a group of items only. Do you know the reason why this happen?

Dates earlier than 28 Jan will definately not work, but it should work for 28 Jan. Can you check if the time stam at table level is 00:00:00. The time is automatically updated by system as 00 for start date and 23:59:59 for end date. Apart from this I don't see any reason as why it should not run when the start date is selected.

Hi,
below is the sample item with error for your analising.
Data shown in item master plan:
on hand = 0, Forcast time fence : 24 Jul , Order Horizon : 11 Aug
Scenario date : 04 Feb 2006 to 23 Jun 2007
dependant demand 277384.8 (28 Jul) 340(04 Aug)
plan purch order 91000.0 (28 Jul) 400(04 Aug)
Purch plan 195200 (11 Aug)
Projected inventory -186384.8(28 Jul)
Data shown in time-phased planning overview:
10 Feb 195131(plan production order)
24 Feb 72800(plan supply)
3 Mar 72846.4 (plan production order)
23 Jun 7500(plan supply)
30 Jun 7471.2 (plan production order)
28 Jul 1936.0 (plan production order) 10700(plan supply)
4 Aug 340.0 (plan production order) 400(plan supply)
11 Aug 195200(plan supply)
-------------- --------------
Total 277724.2 (plan supply) 286600(plan supply)
Base on the data, I found that total demand = plan purch order + purch plan after round up to standard pack.
But I wonder why demand on 10 Feb 195131 do not create plan purch order but purch plan instead on 11 Aug. Does it cause the error message of "start date may not be after finsih date"? Any idea?
