Hello every one,

In session timps3101m000 the demand forecast is always 0, although I have daily sales orders for more then an year ago , Period Length for Demand Forecasting is 100, Minimum Number of Days for Demand History is 200, Automatic Update of Forecast Parameters is yes and Automatic Update of Demand Plan is Yes.
But when I use timps3201m000 (generate demand forecast is Yes) it doesn't generate demand forecast.
We are using moving average. Moving average offset is 112 days and moving average period is 110 days.

The problem is only with the demand forecast. If I write some demand forecast my self the program is computing scheduled receipts and MPS production and purchase orders without problem. I believe there is a parameter that is not written in the help, or I can't find it.


What can be the problem?

Did you select a forecast Method in timps2101m000 Maintain Plan Items Form 1. Then Review the other Settings on form 2, and 3. Also Forecast Method Code on Item Master and check out the Help Information if you use this field.

does anybody have a hint for it?
do exception messages prevent MPS run from calculating the demand?
for example "stock exceedes ...."

Very old question, but now I have just run into this trouble,
maybe answer helps others (working on old Baan IV):
Check "Min. No's of Days for Demand History" timps100.mddh at Plan Code.
It should be less than past period ("Ref Date" - "Plan Start Date").
Too big faulty value blocks generation of Demand Plan.
