Hi,
Just wanted to know about Backflushing method.

We are using backflushing method 'Seperately' ( SFC parameter ) . The issuing of components are done via the session tisfc0220m000. While running this session we asked to stop any kind of inventory transaction to users.

I would like to know if we change the backflushing method to 'Automatically' then what will be the impact on our daily inventory transaction. What are the
pros and cons of the same.

Thanks
Nilesh.

Hi nileshsamsonite,
We also run the backflushing seperately (in a job) with absolutely no impact to any other inventory transaction during the runtime of the job. Setting the parameter to 'Automatically' is basicly the same but will slow down sessions such as 'Report Operations Complete'.

Best regards,

Martin

Hi nileshsamsonite,
No other parameter needs to be changed. It's simply a decision between a realtime inventory deduction (automatically) and a batch orientated deduction (separately). The database transaction is the same.

Hope this helps,

Martin
