Hallo,

we have a problem using copying EBOM data multi-level. We don't want to use ECO's and use the following steps:

1. Engineering Items (no standard item is present)
2. E-Item Revisions
3. E-BOM's
4. release E-Item revisions
5. Generate E-BOM copy data multi-level
6. Finalize E-Data

This session should copy all items and all levels of the E-BOM to the standard item and BOM. Unfortunately it copies only the highest level to standard item with revision and the BOM, as well as the standard item component (but without revision and BOM).

Did I miss anything? Any ideas or experiences with EDM are welcome!

regards
Frank

When you finalize are you using "without ECO" and "all available lines"? Are the revisions of the lower level components all released?

Hi GaryEd,

yes, I selected 'without ECO' but 'Corresp. and Linked Pos.' isntead of 'all available lines'. The standard item and BOM is present but without a revision no. (new item). This item has been copied from a project. Any problem with that?

Alle revisions are released.

I don't think copying from a project makes any difference. Sometimes we get items on the production side with no revision but all the other data appears to be correct. Re-running the finalize engineering data session usually fixes it.
