QWe are using Exponential Smoothing forecast method to calculate demand forecast. Can anybody help me on this.

Actually, we are still not clear how baan is calculating demand forecast thru exponential smoothing. Do any body have any document on expoenential smoothing.
exponentail smoothing work on weight avg. now how it assign weight avg.

do anybody know about it and help me out in this.
