We want to capture the cost (actual would be nice, standard would be OK) of nonconforming manufactured parts. We want this to dump to a GL expense account. Can't find a Baan solution. Can anyone help?

Both. Parts scrapped at any step in production.

This is the weakness in BaaN, you can’t capture scrap cost separately. Everything will go into the variance bucket.

Alternative is to write a report; again you need to assume lot of things (like how do I arrive at the list of component for the rejected final item, operation cost, etc..) when generating the report.
