As a relative newcomer to the manufacturing module can somebody please explain to me what dictates whether a Production Order can be released or not.

We have Production Orders on our system which are at the status of Active but when we try to release them via the session tisfc0204m000 Release Production Orders nothing happens and we get the message "No data found".

We have just upgraded from 4c3 to 4c4 so maybe we do not understand some of the new functionality or we have a bug in the newer version.

Cheers

Hi Neal

The status active means some or all hours have been posted against that order. All you need to do is finish reporting against these orders. I have listed the status in order below.

Free - Should never see this one if you do call SSA Baan support.

Planned - Newly inserted/transffered

Documents printed - If documents has been determined to be required.

Released - Able to be reported against

Active - Hours have been posted

Completed - Inventory has been posted

Archived -

Cancelled

Thanks Tim,

I couldn't find a list of status descriptions anywhere. Just getting into Prod Orders side of the software as you may realise.
