If I have found that my inventory is bad, how do i issue rework production orders?
For instance, we fullfilled some backorders by picking from our end item inventory. The kits that we picked from are no longer end items. How do I issue rework orders to remove those kits from inventory and get the removed items replaced?

Iordofe,
Just a suggestion:
Create & release a rework production order for these end items.
Issue the Main Item materials.
Add material lines for the materials (that left in inventory) with negative quantities. Send these materials back to inventory by issuing (negative qty).
Report the order completed with qty completed := zero (0).
To my knowledge this should work.
Correction with Cycle Counting might be another option.
Kind Regards,
Eddy

great information, thanks for your help.
BUT where do I create a rework order?
Is it a flag I need to check through project structure?
Is it a production order? or RPL order?
Maintain PRP production Orders?
Maintain Production Orders > Application > Maintain Production Planning?
I'm not sure where to begin.
