Hi,
Could someone help me with this situation. The end item planning method is MPS while the raw materials are MRP. Example
End item A
Component X effective date is 1 Jan 05 to 15 Jan 05
Component Y effective date is 16 Jan 05 to 31 Jan 05
When End item A MPS production order is generated with start date of 14 Jan, finish date of 20 Jan 05, MRP purchase orders was generated for Component Y because component X has expired. Users would like the system to generate MRP for component X based on the start date of MPS orders instead of the finish date of MPS production orders. The reason is because item x and y is interchangeable, and users would like to finish the stock of x first before purchasing y.
Does anyone face this problem before?
thanks
