In item control you can click on the T for text and there is 3 selections. Item,purchase,sales. Does anyone know the table names and package combination they are in to be able to place them on a report?

no problem - just place a field on the report, let's say tiitm001.txta (item text), with domain tctxtn.
The same can be done with purchase text(tiitm001.txtp) and sales text(tiitm001.txts).
