I have a subassembly item with the following item master set-ups:
manufactured
not revision contolled
phantom no
effective date is blank
MRP item
BOM level code is 3 (and I have checked for loops and recalculated the low level code)
Effective date on BOM is correct

For some reason the MRP is not generating for this item. There are open shop floor orders for this subassembly item (planned receipts). After the regen MRP is run (with no error report) - the Display Stock Movement shows that an MRP net change is still required.
This item has demand (planned requirements) for an item at BOM level 2. These are open shop floor orders. However, on the Display Stock Movement screen for the subassembly - the demand shop floor orders (planned requirements) as well as the shop floor orders for the manufacture of this subassembly (planned receipts)are not visible. There are MRP material requirements - but no planned material receipts. It is as if Baan is not running the MRP on this item at all.
Any suggestions?

Thanks
Nicole

check your MRP parameters.
Is there a time fence set?
And a multiplier?
It seems if the plannin horizon is zero days

Check Order System (MRP)
Order Policy (Anonymous)
Check warehouse (Nettable)
Enter an order manually and see if you get an error for the item. Check start and end dates.

I did all of that and it is still not working. This is so strange as the MRP as a whole is running fine. In fact it was fine last week....... And no one knows who changed what!

Is the requirement in a nettable warehouse?

Yes the warehouse is nettable.

One suggestion is that a table has become corrupted and so Baan thinks it is running the MRP - when in fact it is not. Any thoughts on this?
