When transfering MRP Production Orders to SFC. The SFC Effective Date for the order becomes the same as the Delivery Date. Should not be Production Start Date? Since is the date when the Production Order will be receiving materials for production and also routing operations should be taken at the Production Start Date?

Hi Carlos,

The Effective Date is used to select the right materials & routing operations from resp. the BOM & Routing Operations.

BOM & Routing Operations are both date effective.
If a material 'COVER' (just by example) is only effective from 1 nov 2004 onwards, then if you transfer the SFC order with a delivery date of 15 nov 2004 the 'COVER' material will be selected. Even, when the operation in which it is required starts alerady somewhere in october.

That's how it works.
