Looking for input on forecasting tools. Originally we did not use Baan b/c when we implemented it - there was no history. Now we have over 2 years history, and I am considering using Baan vs. other bolt on packages. The one problem I see with baan is that our sales group needs a forecast by customer, and baan only appears to be able to forecast by SKU.

Looking for input on what others are using.

In 5 and 6 you can forecast by channel and maintain a master plan by channel. Item can have multiple channels.

Within the Netherlands there is a good forecasting tool, standard interfaced with Triton/Baan IV. It is easy to use, easy to implement and is able to decrease invwntory costs by 20-30%. Moreover, it is not expensive (certainly compared to big forecasting tools like Manugistics, I2 etc).
If you need further information sent an email to mdroste@quadriceps.nl

Flip,

Of course SSA can offer additional planning tools too.
However do you know how much it'll cost??
For small/medium sized companies it'll cost way too much!

Maybe there is a possibility in Baan to with Sales Budgets and copy them to Demand Forecast via cpdsp1280m000.
I believe you can there maintain sales budget per BP.
