Dear all,
Does anybody know why in "avg. setup time" field (in Routing operation session) we must enter a whole number? Does it effect to other calculation?

And how we can define that avg. setup time is for 1000 pcs production (for example), beside in EOQ in Item Ordering Data?

Use of Routing Unit is another option.

in my routing, there are: melting-casting-...
melting has 1 operation & casting has 2 operation.

in melting, my formula is (for operation time):
(Avg. setup time + (cycle time/yield)/routing unit) x man occ. for production.
--> whatever EOQ is, the formula is correct.

that formula above is correct also for casting with EOQ=1. But after I change EOQ to 1000, the formula is no longer valid.

and why in avg. setup time field we must enter a whole number?

can anyone help me please?
