In the maintain production orders session, when you enter the date information for the prod. order and save it, it comes up with messages. One message states ' Order is xxx days late'.
My question is, how is the 'days late' calculated?
Thanks,

Tim
Depending on the End/Finish Date the program looks at the Routing and determines when the start date should have been. The late message is telling you that you should have released the order that many days earlier. This is a warning message that says you would need to expidite if you are going to complete on time. Hope this helps.

Thanks Tommy..
I'm trying to recalc the slack time based on how many days late the order is.
The End/Finish date you are talking about...is it the one that is on the maintain production planning session, Latest Finish field for the last operation record? That latest finish field is not kept in a table(that I noticed). How is that, then calculated?
Please bear with me, I don't work in production.
