We are used Baan5.0c version and backflush.

Production item "A" has BOM component "B" and "C".

"B" item has alternative item "D".

Inventory of "B" item is zero in now but, Inventory of "D" item

has many inventory.

When I issue material through backflushing, is it possible

automatic(backflushing) issue "D" item instead of "B" item?

Backflushing is done "Only for the Items present in Estimated Materials". if you want to replace Item B with Item D for a Particular Item, You need to change the Estiamted Material of the Production order( Item B should be replaced with Item D).

After this if you backflush, Item D will be Backflushed.

But, there is no automatic Mechanism in Baan to check the Availabilty and replace with Alternative Items.
