Hello all ... !!
I have two questions of planning in Baan 5.
1. which is the logica that follows to suggest you manufacture and pruchase orders?
2. I plan for a scene, Baan 5 sees something more than the planning scene?
Thanks

1) Default on Plan Item Data
2) Not sure what the question is?

Like Hexagenia suggested... The default on Plan Item Data is no doubt used during the suggestion of Planned Work & Pur orders..
but I would also think that, the existing demand line (coming from the sales order Qty & the Planned Delivery Date), the existing lower level materials & end-item inventory on hand would recommend wot needs to be planned. It would take into consideration the existing production orders (planned, released, active), match it to the qty on hand (do required pegging).,and
then suggest orders...
Dont know if this helps you...
Cheers

1. In the general item data, if you specify an item as manufactured then the planning engine will create planned production order. If you specify as purchased then planned purchased order is created instead. In the plan item data, you can also specify the supply source, but I think this is more to the supply chain thing. CMIIW :)
2.For the horizon/scene, you should set it in the item plan data (order horizon for order based and planning horizon for master based)
