Hi everybody,

Can somebody tell me the detailed procedure how a normal user can attach a doc/pdf/excel/drawing in the item master or any other BaaN session. We are on BaaN 4c4, Informix IDS 7.31, HP-UX 10.20. (I dont want to buy the document Management addon being sold by Vanenburg!). I remember seeing in some forum that this can be achieved by using VOLOview! Can somebody elaborate?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Have you looked at Nazdaq's Hot Link (http://www.nazdaq.co.il/)?

With Hot Link, you essentially make a minor change to a form in the session(s) where you want to have the link. You can then associate the file(s) with, for example, the item you want. Users can then launch the associated application and view the document from the session in question. Look here (http://www.nazdaq.co.il/bhl.shtml) for more details.

Some of our clients wanted to go further and actually print AutoCAD and Word documents along with, for example, standard Baan production order documents. We (RMCis) have created solutions for these.

There are many options -- it just depends on your needs.

I hope that helped.
