Hi all,

When a user try to login to Baan on his PC. He gets error "User Name or Password is not correct" and "Couldn't look up address for your host".
This is relapted to this PC only, no one can login from this PC, but before some days he can.

Anyone knows any setting problems with PC.

One more information for you. I can login to Test Baan Server, but can't to production server. I am able to ping to UNIX and able to login to UNIX from the same PC.
Also all the settings in BWC are perfect.

Hi there,

most probably you are using BW to login. Depending on the setup of your rexecd on the unix host it will deny rexec execution if the client is not listed in /etc/hosts. What happens if you put the pc's ip there?

Yes, Norwin is right.

I faced the same problem on Saturday.

With rexecd make sure the IP of the PC can be properly resolved (either within DNS or in /etc/hosts).

Alternatively switch the GUI config to use baan login daemon instead of rexecd, which will not require this.

check the routing table...
# netstat -r
and see the ip and gateway entry and see if they are valid ???
