We are using BaaN IV C4 with SQL 7.0 ; OS. NT 4.0 with service pack 17.
Now we are planning to migrate to Windows 2003 ; SQL 2000 with BaaN IV c4 and Service pack 17/18. on a new server.

Please advice what are all precautions and how to start configuring on the server(new).

what is the sequence ??

Hi Mahadevan,

if sql server is concern, the migration process is quite easy. take the database backup, take the application backup,

install the baan basic logic and application service, and sql server 2000 on the new server, and restore the backup taken from the earlier server.create the database user in the baandb database(hope password u know....)

quite easy process.

we had done this within 15 minutes.
