I have the problem of starting the session in Baan5. Whenever a session is started the message
Process 6 - Fatal error : Illegal object '/d8/baan5/bse/tools/ttB50_b/ottadv/ottadv7500' (error type 2)
The Log gives the error of Data dictionary not found.
I'm not able to run the Licd6.2. It gives the error --- Please brand your software.

When the brand 6.2 is run the user is prompted to enter the Customer code which i'm not aware off. Kindly tell me how to solve the problem.

First you should put your screen shot into a jpg and re-attach it. I would but I do not have access to this forum or I would do it for Pat.

Second I know our site was assigned a customer code and ID when we first purchase Baan for the branding. I am not sure if that is still the case, especially since this is Baan V - I recommend contacting the support center.

Seems to be some have your brand file was corrupted, this may be happened while moving the brand file from “/” directory to another place (I am not sure). Try the command “licmon6.2 –B” from your /baanerp/bse/bin directory.if your porting sets are latest you get the all Brand info. We have the same error before while installing the Baan5c on our system…what we did was ran the “Patch objects after system crash” and brought the system in demo mode, sent the Request systems configuration to Baan and got the new license keys -à applied those keys and ran validate the tools session. Baan support responded right away for us and all tasks completed in less than 2 hours. I strongly suggest you to take Baan support help in this regard.

Good luck,
