Has anyone done the migration of BaaN IV users authorizations into BaaN 5 (manually or otherwise), if yes can you

-> pls. let me know if there are any best practices that can or should be followed.

-> Are there any documentation on this process.

-> If there is link already present at this Site(bb) regarding this ?

Hey,

Authorization in baan 5 is totally on a different concept than from baan 4. So i will suggest you to kindly redo the authorization work in baan5.

In baan 5 all you have to do is to create standard template and attach that to the users whom you wnat to authorized.

This will eliminate the duplication of work in baan 5 as you might be doing in baan 4.

The document for user management in baan 5 is found in the document cd of baan5.
