Position: Sr BAAN Developer
Location: This is in Memphis TN or Milpitas Ca. ( 2 in TN and 1 in CA)
Duration: 6 month assignment with likelihood of 12 months.
Brief Job Description:
_ Provides high level functional and technical support to identify and resolve problems on multiple application platforms (Baan, Atlas, Flex Flow, etc) in conjunction with the user community, management and IS development staff. Emphasis on BaaN
_ Understands Baan ERP module integration and the impact modifications to one module have on other modules.
_ Manages and or validates the implementation of patches, upgrades, enhancements, and new features of Baan ERP modules through coordination with all users and IS Development staff to insure proper testing, documentation and training is performed.
_ Acts as liaison between development IS staff/consultants and users for Baan ERP modules in addition to coordinating activities to ensure completion of tasks to meet timelines.
_ Works closely with internal customers and site management to proactively identify issues and resolutions pertaining to ERP Modules
_ Logs advanced functional and technical TARS (Technical Assistance Requests) with ERP support teams and performs detailed analysis and testing in the resolution of application-related identified issues.
_ Provides guidance and support to other personnel.
_ Requires after hours and weekend support (on-site and/or remote access availability).
Skills Required:
_ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
_ Five or more years experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment with experience in business application support, systems analysis and implementation, documentation, training, and testing.
_ Solid functional experience working with BaaN 5.0 or IV application/systems design, manufacturing, logistics, financial and data exchange
_ Advanced level professional fully qualified to provide functional and technical support to internal customers on the internal workings of Baan ERP modules.
_ Strong functional knowledge of EDI is preferred
_ Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills (e.g., planning, organizing).
_ Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications
