This position will lead projects with high complexity and/or support the business through the planning, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of business requirements for new systems’ needs, and enhancements to existing systems. The position will leverage technology to fully meet or exceed business goals and objectives as defined by the key business users. This position will work closely with internal personnel to define and document business requirements and processes. It will also work extensively with internal and external development resources in knowledge transfer of requirements, review and documentation of system design specifications as well as system implementation activities. This position will interact and support both IS and business users at local, regional, group and enterprise levels. This is considered a key senior staff position within the IS Americas group and is expected to work on the most complex and challenging projects.

B. Communication:

Internally:
Must have excellent communications skills with a solid grasp of business concepts. Will be expected to work with all levels of the organization, including upper management, department managers, and process owners. Project assignments can be at the local, regional, group and enterprise levels. Must be capable of understanding cross-functional business needs and be able to effectively communicate system/process improvements. Must be capable of translating technical concepts into easily understood concepts for non-technical users. Most communication will be internal and on a daily basis.

Externally:

Will be expected to work with all external stakeholders including, consultants, suppliers and dealers. External communication will be less frequent than internal communication but will vary depending on projects.

C. Supervision

Upper management and the IS Manager will set goals and high level direction. Management may choose to set scope, timeline, budget, resources, etc. Capable of working on projects with minimal supervision and direction. Self motivated, able to manage time efficiently, and able to effectively prioritize assignments. Able to serve as a project manager on high complexity projects. This will involve supervising and leading IS employees, consultants, suppliers, and other project team members for the duration of the project.

E. Qualifications:
.
• Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems or related field with minimum of 6-8 years of related experience required, or a combination of related education and 10 years related experience.
• Three plus years working with ERP Baan IVc4 Manufacturing and Distribution packages is required. Candidate must possess competent knowledge with these modules.
• Six plus years of business analysis/process and design.
• Two plus years of experience working with client/server and web-based application architectures.
• One plus years experience with relational database design and concepts.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment or for a heavy equipment manufacturer is highly preferred.
• Ability to understand and develop SQL queries is a plus.
• Six Sigma certification is a plus. Red Belt certification to be obtained within one year of hire.
• SAP ERP experience is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of IS controls related to Sarbanes-Oxley legislation.
• Fluent with tools to document business requirements/processes – MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio.

F. Major Responsibility (Functions/Duties):

• Responsible for the entire life cycle for high complexity projects including but not limited to: creation of project plans, research and analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, training, and documentation - following IS standards and procedures.
• Serve as an IS customer liaison for the Design to Build value stream.
• Lead high complexity projects and teams to successful completions.
• Gather/analyze requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system design specifications.
• Responsible for recognizing and communicating the effects a system change will make on other areas of the business.
• Work with business users to determine scope and requirements for new projects or working with business users on issues/opportunities on existing applications/process.
• Ability to determine validity of business request and cost / benefit (EVA) analysis.
• Identifies and recommends alternative methods and technologies to meet business needs.
• Evaluate technology and make recommendations.
• Develop QA test plans based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Completion of assigned trouble tickets in line with service level agreements.
• Effective mentoring of Business Analyst I and II.
