The job description follows:
Title: ERP Administrator & Developer
Reports to Whom: Manager, Applications Development
General Purpose:
To be the key resource for managing Baxas ERP system (currently Baan IV c4).
Organizational Chart/Reporting Relationship:
Supervision Exercised: None
Supervision Received: Works under the general direction of the Manager of Applications Development.
Essential Functions:
Will perform the necessary administration to ensure daily continuity of the ERP system.
Will provide functional expertise on the modules used by the company.
Will develop enhancements to augment the ERP systems capabilities
Duties/Responsibilities to accomplish Essential Functions: Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the ERP system by maintaining roles, authorizations, devices and jobs
Applying service packs and hot fixes as appropriate
Optimizing overall performance and system availability for core components and third-party add-ons
Training and mentoring the IS group to better understand the ERP system and to be able to complete some of the administrative tasks
Managing, designing and developing new customizations while supporting existing customizations that include reports, tables, sessions, forms and program scripts
Working with the Development team to integrate the ERP system with other systems
Providing functional support for the ERP system to all departments that use the system
Finding areas for continuous improvement to the ERP system and systems related to it
Performing annual functions such as archiving and year-end closing
Monitoring and improving contingency and disaster recovery plans
Evaluating future products and providing direction and long-term vision for the ERP system.
