Title: Business Analyst/Programmer (Baan)
Position Purpose:
Assists in the evaluation of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes (e.g., new, enhancements or maintenance), in the preparation of application program specifications, project management, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective application solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assists in the identification of business requirements and in devising system and programming alternatives and specifications.
· Studies and analyzes existing business procedures as assigned.
· Translates client requirements into highly specified project briefs.
· Identifies options for potential solutions and assesses them for both technical and business suitability.
· Prepares systems flow charts and logic diagrams to describe existing and proposed operations.
· Creates and implements project plans for development and testing.
· Codes, debugs, and documents programs, or oversees and coordinates the same.
· Provides training to users in the use of the developed system/application.
Minimum Education & Previous Experience Required:
· Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and two or more years experience in systems analysis and application program development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Understanding of and demonstrated experience in the configuration and implementation of Baan ERP systems (6+ years).
· Experience with CRM solutions like SalesLogix and business system integration will be a distinct plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Familiar with SDLC methodologies
· Requires good analytical ability
· Excellent verbal English communication skills to support working with end users.
· Strong writing and documentation skills.
