Position is responsible for analyzing, designing, and configuring Baan ERP systems to support the essential business functions of the corporation. As an analyst, this position examines the business processes and systems to determine gaps requiring process reengineering or system development. In addition, this position plans and coordinates activity for major enhancements to systems and integration of third party applications.


Analyzes business processes and system functionality, looking for ways to improve, correct or enhance the current processes.
Study existing systems to evaluate effectiveness and integrate new systems to improve production workflow as required.
Document process reengineering, user configuration, and system development requirements. Prepare work flow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by users.
Design and develop system interfaces, customizations, and enhancements to Baan and related third party applications. Develop and execute test plans.
Lead efforts for major enhancements to existing systems, or activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Establish work plans and project schedules for assigned team members and lead the project. Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
Report on project status and communicate progress to the business areas.
Prepare and conduct in-formal training when necessary for major system enhancements.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;
Minimum three years Baan developing experience and/or training;
Experience in software development life cycle (at least 5 years) is strongly preferred;
Proven experience in supporting enterprise level ERPs;
Familiarity with one or more of the following is considered a plus: C, SQL, UNIX, reporting tools;
Experience in the supply chain/logistics industry is a big plus.
