Flextronics (a Fortune 500 leader in the EMS industry with 150+ international sites, 95,000 employees worldwide, and annual revenue of $13B) IT department is looking for a talented, self-motivated, self-driven, Sr. Enterprise Application Administrator to help manage their 24x7 mission-critical centralized data center that supports 10,000+ users worldwide utilizing high-end enterprise equipment. This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of all application operation activities involving production, disaster recovery, QA, and development systems. Challenging yet rewarding, this role requires interfacing directly with Sr. Oracle DBAs, Sr. Unix Systems Engineers, Infrastructure, Functional Application Support, and Project Management teams locally and internationally. Responsibilities include:
· Applications such as Baan, Agile, Merkur, Connectware, SeeCommerce, RiverOne, EDI, BizTalk, and etc.
· Serve as a technical gatekeeper to govern change control management process
· Design application monitoring scripts/tools for operation management
· Create & maintain documentation of all production applications
· Interface with PM and vendors on architectural design and implementation
Requirements
Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team oriented environment and be able to work efficiently under pressure. Strong project management and organizational skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Being at the center core of IT & company, qualified candidates will have the growth opportunities to learn and implement the latest technologies that drive Flex further ahead. This is a senior position where extensive skill sets listed below are a must.
· Minimum of 8 years of enterprise backend IT administration experience in a 24x7 environment
· At least 5 years of Baan IV/ERP administration experience with thorough knowledge of Baan Tools
· Must able to write Unix Shell, Oracle PL/SQL, and Perl scripts to automate tasks
· Strong understanding of AIX, Solaris, and HP-UX operating systems
· Must be able to troubleshoot complex process to determine if the issue is due to application, database, or operating system.
