How are other US companies handling change management - moving developed programs to production - ? Are any of you using any systems aside from Baan? My dev/prod are on two boxes so I have a few extra steps. I'm interested in automating it, since I will have a NON-developer performing these steps.

How are other company handling dba responsibilities? Do you typically have them handle all table reconfigs in the prod environment?

One last one...Is there anyone that runs a 24/7 mfg shop and how do you handle system downtime for table reconfigs/field additions/index chags, etc.
