Hi,

I am a Finance person, but interested in BaaN tools (atleast to the extent of report writing, simple session customizations etc., to achieve a bit of self relience). I have adequate knowledge of tables in my functional area.

To learn a comfortable portion of tool, what should be basic programming/tools knowledge one must have. How to start? Can anybody advise.

Thanks

To start BaaN Tools, you should have basic knowledge of SQL, loops and other conditions. Contact your Tools colleague for some reading material.
Good luck!!

What I would suggest is, take a simple report with program script from ur tools person and compile it with debugging option. And see what happens in script for every event. Look INTO report layout also. It would be better for u to take max help from ur tools person, that doin all alone.
