Hi everyone, my marketing department wanted me to engage in some shameless self-promotion for a class that I am teaching, so here it is...

Open Systems Technologies is offering a two-day Baan System Optimization class. The first few classes have received excellent student reviews! This class is designed for System Administrators, DBA's, and Baan Application Administrators. The class is being offered in the following US cities during the first quarter of 2002:

January 16-17 - Chicago, Illinois

January 30-31 - West Palm Beach, Florida

February 27-28 - Columbus, Ohio

March 20-21 - Grand Rapids, Michigan

For additional information visit our web site www.ostusa.com (http://www.ostusa.com ) or contact dbehm@ostusa.com

(and tell them you heard about it from BaanBoard :) )
Thanks everyone,

Which aspects of performance will be the core of the course? I've run into vastly different problems in the initial loading og Baan data (conversions), running MRP/MPS (performance boosters) or ongoing performance issues. Occasionally the database DBA was my chief "enemy" because the better he tuned the database, the worse my Baan performance became (telling them to tune the database so everything was "wrong" was always my greatest challenge.

Good luck on your courses though.
