Infor on installaiton of new porting set adivices us to have product licence along with new product infor365. But can we know what is scope of this new product and its implications ?

I am just in process of upgrading one server and waiting for a new license key. What I know about is what I read in one manual:

Infor Enterprise Server 8.4 introduces maintenance licensing. To run Infor Enterprise Server 8.4, add the following product-id to your SLM license manager:
Infor365 Maintenance Contract: 10365 Register as a Concurrent User with a quantity of 1 The end-date you must fill in is the end-date of your maintenance contract for ERP LN 6.1.

What will happen if the case is that there is delay in renewal of AMC or the customer decides not to go for AMC then the he will loose the product licence as well ...
