I found this. It does syntax highlighting for BaaN 4GL. Thought I would pass it along.

Hi,

heard that Infor is building an Eclipse plugin for Baan 4GL, with full feature set.

I heard that eclipse rumour too. Is there anyone out there knowing a little bit more?

Maybe that refers to the BIRT reporting tools integration, not for Baan4GL

I visited a customer road show last year (still SSA times) where they introduced the SOA strategy for the first time. There i met a programmer from Barneveld who talked about the new development environement in Eclipse. (At that time they stated to call it something like 4GL Studio).

At the last DGUG Meeting in May this year i talked to Daan Snijders who is Vice President, Product Management. He told me that the 4GL Studio is only available for ERP LN.

The BIRT thing is a feature of the new WebTop Version and it should be available for all Baan Version that are WebTop enabled (so stated by Daan).
The documents on this new Version are already available in the document area on Support Site.

Hope this clarifies a little bit,
Andreas

just got off the LN Technology update. Very good session. Yes there will be Eclipse enabling for Baan 4GL. I saw also new reporting engine. I am positively surprised about the amount of innovations they are putting in the product

It's only interesting for german customers, but at Tuesday November 13th 2007, 10:00 Uhr will be a Webinar about BIRT.

Best contact Infor for more information.

Maybe 1 year ago I've had a short (!) view to the eclipse IDE. It used syntax highlighting, an integrated debugger, compiler and so on. Looked like eclipse.
