What are the order policies.

I hope you are asking about order policy in Item Master...If so read on...

Order policies controls how a particular item is ordered.
Two options are given in Baan4

Anonymous: With the help of forecasting the items with these order policy is produced and purchased to inventory, anonymously.

To Order: The items with this policy are not kept in stock and are purchased or produced to customer's order...

Order policies depend on item types as well...
For a manufactured and purchased item type, you may choose the policy required
Fo Generic items, the policy will be "To Order" and last but not least...
For Cost, Service and Subcontracting item types, the policy will be "Anonymous".
