We are running Baan 5c on AS/400. Our management would like to konw SSA LN has portingset for AS/400. As per as I know they didn't. But any one know recent news about "AS/400 vs.. SSA LN"?????

SSA ERP LN will be avaiable in Summer 2006, which menas Q2 2006.

Well, let's think about that for a second. Moving from Baan 5c to ERP LN is a huge jump. It's not just a 1 weekend deal. You have to redefine your business processes, determine what will work and what won't for you. Look at new functionality, etc. Then you have to migrate any customizations, etc.

So, why not take that year before the ERP LN porting set comes out and use it for the above? You could get a cheap linux/windows Box, put LN on that. get everything ready and then when the AS400 port comes out, you're ready to go.

That is good suggestion. The weak point is...all our test machines are AS/400s. Any way loading LN on Linux or Windows are great idea to start our journey.

i´m not very technical, but why you do not install SSA ERP LN on an Windoes PC to check the Software and so on, and prepare all Process for an Migration in Summer 2006
