what is the status of BaaN IV Webtop.
We want to use BaaN IV webtop to our other brach offices. can i access the system from the branch office to enter the transactions; report printing,display options. how about the performance issues.

please advice.

Baan IV webtop is available. you can do most functional tasks such as entering orders and printing. However, you cannot do many tools tasks such as developing reports and maintaining users.

Webtop has the ability to cache forms from your sessions so the presentation is fairly quick, it then relies on a bshell backend to handle the processing. So that isn't any different than your typical Baan session.

Thanks for your reply. I have installed on my test server BaaN Webtop.
I am able to access from other location by using web browser I/P address to enter the transdactions. but i am not able to print/display from remotedly.

we are using on the server 17 service pack and latest porting set on win 2000 ; sql 2000.

i can print from server.

Please suggest me how to view/print from remote. do i need any other set up to be made in server/client side.
