Hi,

My name is Luuk and I’m still writing my thesis (see recent threads ) :).

Literature states that in Western Europe en the USA the most implemented modules are HR and finance. That sounds plausible because in these Countries there are not so many production plants.

The developing countries (for example China) are hot moving production facilities too. Is it true that ERP modules implemented in these countries are different like Inventory control and manufacturing?

Is there literature that proves my idea?

Best regards,

Hi
We are using the Baan4c4 system in our china factories. (Manufacturing, Distribution, Finance.) We have developed some add-on sessions for china, but fundamentally, we are using the Baan standard modules such as SLS,PUR,INV, SFC, GLD and so on.

For my case, both BaaN4 and BaaN5 are installed in China. In term of production operation or logistic management, I do not think there is great different.
However, there are some customized due to language, taxation, customs and so on. Anyway, it is not a matter of development level.
