Is there a way to change the current Fiscal Year in
tfgld0103m000, Maintain Company Parameters to current (ie 2002) without going through the steps for Year End Processing or finally closing periods of past year? I'm in Baan IVc2.

as far as I know it is not possible to change the current year, even in the GTM.
What is the reason that you don't want to pass the steps?

Just a short reaction on the GTM that should not be used; the field you are looking for is tfgld004.year.

If you changed the current fiscal year using GTM ( i agree with erik! )...
You would not be able to run the close year process for the previous year. More explicitly,
1. you would not be able to balance the P&L accounts and have your closing transactions reflected in the GL.
2. You could not create your opening balance transactions and have them reflected in the GL.
The reason...
Baan closing processes will check the 'current fiscal year' field in the tfgld004! This means they will run for the year you have GTM'd into this field. You can see where this could get ugly rather quickly?
